Being dedicated to go past the limits to have an advantage over other competitors. This is where what I like to call the (brainstorming process) began, Being able to come up with there first vehicle idea the Roadster, also know as the Tesla Roadster. The production idea was conceived by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, which took place in the state of Delaware on July 1, 2003. In order for them to pursue this idea, a large amount of funds are required. With great patience and a confidence in there vision, an idea soon transforms into reality in early 2004. When South African-born entrepreneur Elon Musk took an active role within the Company and invested $7.5 million dollars with his personal funds. Since the beginning, Musk has consistently maintained that Tesla's long-term strategic goal is to create affordable mass market electric vehicles in order to have a material impact on oil consumption.

The Company is setting new standards and changing all aspects, in the motor vehicle industry as we know it. Tesla sold 937 Tesla Roadsters to customers in 18 countries and generated $126.8 million in revenue, An all time high for the company. On June 29, 2010 Tesla Motors launched its initial public offering on NASDAQ under the symbol TSLA.
